"Kinda dark isn't it?"

(passerby)

An extension of my landscape paintings, I started these when my children were young, when I often only had time to paint at night, and was occasionally without a proper studio. Using a limited palette, and often working in near darkness, they are painted at night on site, either under a light source when available, such as a street light or the moon, or from the relative comfort of the front seat of my car, using the dim interior light and a steering wheel easel I designed and built for this purpose. I am often surprised by the results when I get home and let my eyes adjust.
